Found the troubleshooting guide on the back of the baseboard or kick plate. Used this to diagnose the problem to the key pad. Maybe 2 hours total to diagnose and fix with trip to the google to find videos.

Installed and working fine, but!!!

When ordering we were assured it came with installation instructions, no such luck. When calling back still no help. It took a special screwdriver , I think they call it a torx head, like a star, not a Phillips head. Six screws, a plastic interior cover with clips, the circuit board was clipped in (be careful not to break the large tabs, use the small lower tabs), same with the latch assembly, unclip it. Circuit board has a flat cable. The board has to be disconnected so you can connect the new panel cable. It has to be removed so the new panel can be plugged in, then reclip the circuit board. The handle/opening hand hold has a plastic insert that has to be transferred to the new panel. We didn't see that until the panel was completely installed and were putting away the old panel, the insert fell out. So we have to take it apart again to insert that piece, it blocks your fingers from going into the cavity where the wiring is when you use the handle to open the washer. All in all it is not that bad but no where as simple as described by the person that took the order. Hopefully the new panel has more durable push buttons, the old push buttons had plastic like domes over each switch that eventually wore out and came off (such that you couldn't see the labeling for each button).

Easy repair makes dishwasher look & feel like new

This was an easy repair -- Remove only the top 6 screws from the inside of the door, pull the old panel forward and remove the latch mechanism, the white plastic cover and control panel; repeat in reverse to install the replacement. After many years of daily use, my old original panel had cracked and peeling button covers and broken sockets for the screws that held it in place, and that damage meant it was no longer holding the latch mechanism securely. At the same time I replaced my worn latch assembly and a failed thermal relay (which you'll find tucked into the edge of the control circuit board), which was the original reason for opening up the unit.
