Kenmore Microwave Grill Vent

When we bought our new house 21 years ago, the microwave oven grill vent was cracked. I never bothered to replace the grill as it was functionable. Well, it finally broke falling off the oven. How great Sears Direct had the part available. The color, size, etc. was perfect, and installation was straight forward. I will order any future needs from Sears Direct. They kept me informed of the one-day delay. The part arrived as expected in good condition. So why the four-star rating? Well, I ordered one grill vent and received one box containing 18 vents. Sears Direct has been notified, and I am waiting information on what to do with the extras. Their service representative was friendly and helpfully.

Ordered a replacement vent cover

I ordered the cover twice and it took approx 5 months to receive. The online tracking was broke or down for approx 3 months. I will never order from Sears again- Sad, they used to be dependable

Grill arrived cracked

Small tab support on the side of the grill arrived cracked. It was not broken off but cracked half way through. We glued the tab before installing & hoping that will hold. However, paying $50.17 for a broken part does not seem right. The grill does not appear to have been damaged in shipping.

Wrong part after extensive shipping delay

Paid $33+ for expedited and had to wait about ten days for the product to arrive which DOES NOT FIT. Totally disgusted!

An exact fit

Size-wise it is a perfect replacement, however as the plastic yellows with time this will be brighter than the rest of the plastic on the microwave. It's still a perfect replacement though.

This fit perfectly. It was over priced, but it was easier to replace the grill than replace the whole microwave!
