It's always worth replacing with the parts it was born with
I needed another part for my gas dryer and since the igniter was original (20 years old) I decided to replace it as well. Install was easy, using the SearsPartsDirect YouTube channel.

The gas dryer stopped heating.
The dryer was bought in 1998. When part of the burner tube broke off because of rust it appears to have fallen against the igniter, causing the igniter to break. The Igniter Kit part's fit correctly.

Needed to change the connect plug on the wires, alas, no plug on the dryer wires, otherswise, was straight forward.

No support.. Had to find the correct youtube. Take a pic of the pulley on the motor for sure. take several. Wear gloves! 1 hour or more.
