Safety reversing sensor beam is obstructed or misaligned
Remove the obstruction between the safety reversing sensors. If there's no obstruction, realign the safety reversing sensors. Replace the safety reversing sensors if defective.
Safety reversing sensors are disconnected or defective
Reconnect the safety reversing sensor wires. Replace the wire if damaged. If the wires are okay, replace the safety reversing sensors.
Safety reversing sensor interference
Direct sunlight can interfere with the safety reversing sensor beam. Install the sending sensor (the one with the red LED light) on the side of the door that's exposed to the most direct sunlight to minimize interference. Move or eliminate any sources of infrared beams such as infrared sensing flood lights near the garage door.
Receiver control board is defective
Unplug the garage door opener and replace the receiver control board.
