Wrong part again - can't install it
March 01, 2022

The impeller I received did not fit on the pump motor shaft because the motor shaft is larger than the hole and threads on the impeller. I ordered this impeller (and grinder) to replace the impeller that was damaged by the last incompatible grinder I received (see my previous review). Yeah, it may look different and may make noise initially (while it's taking the drive teeth off your previously good impeller) . The new grinder would work with the new impeller if the impeller would fit on the motor shaft. They want me to contact them on Facebook about that issue but I DON'T FACEBOOK. I tried the chat box that pops up on the order pages and when I did finally get the computer to let me chat with an agent, Keith asked what he could help me with and ended the chat session while I was entering my issue (must have been coffee break time). I called customer service and after negotiating their press this number maze, when I did a live person, they said that due to technical difficulties, I needed to call back in two hours. I did this all day! They don't want you to discuss customer service issues here, But where else are you supposed to. You can't get a real person. Basically NO Customer Service!!!

Wrong shaft size but seal was right
March 08, 2021

Though the catalog said this was the cross-referenced "new" part number for my machine, my old motor shaft was much larger diameter than what this impeller is designed to fit. However, the seal is all I really needed, and that part was exactly right. I just replaced the seal-mating face in the old impeller with the new one and re-used the old impeller. If I could have bought the seal & face alone, that's what I would have done anyway.

Fixed the leak very well
February 13, 2021

The part that actually deteriorated was the main seal, shown leaning against the impellor in the parts picture. The original main seal was completely gone and the DW was literally pumping water on the floor. But what does one expect after 10 years and thousands of wash loads anyway? One must tip the washer door side down to start. Disconnect the circuit breaker. Not a difficult task, only one large screw holds the system in (getting to that big screw isn't easy, you'll need a small 3/8 socket on a 1/4" drive. A socket wrench universal joint connector also unless you're very talented) although it is a 'turn and lock' setup. That includes the outer casing to the motor. You must disconnect the electrical snap plug to the motor before you can pull it out. Removing the impellor was easy, it's a right hand thread on the motor, but you must insert a screwdriver or similar into the back of the motor to hold it in place whilst spinning off the impellor. The motor has multiple little nubs on the back that make it easy to keep from turning. As I bought the whole setup, including the outer casing, it was an easy job. Note that the additional parts, the seal and flat washer, go into the outer casing. Flat washer at the bottom, seal and metal ring (not shown) on top. Put the ring into the seal first then insert it into the casing (ring side out) on top of the flat washer. It's a tight fit. I would recommend using a little silicon grease (plumbers type) to help put the parts together. Reassembly into the washer is the reverse of disassembly. I hope this description of the repair procedure helps all who are attempting this. The parts do not come with instructions, so make mental or written notes while you are taking it apart. Do not be surprised if the main seal is totally disintegrated and a spring comes out. That is inside the new main seal, which you normally can't see, along with other internal seal parts. Trash all of it. Enjoy!

Better than factory quality. Due to the location of the part it took some time to install.

Dishwasher fixed

Delivery time was ~10 days, not fast but ahead of when the item was projected to be delivered. The part is perfectly fine, what we expected to receive. Installation is involved - there are videos on you-tube. We installed and works fine. Now we get clean dishes!

This was a difficult repair for me
March 07, 2018

Some instructions or a diagram would have helped a lot. I found a few videos online on how to replace a dishwasher impeller, but they didn't apply to this model. I couldn't tell that the impeller screwed onto the end of the motor shaft until I got the old one off. It didn't help that there was no obvious way to prevent the shaft from turning while trying to screw the impeller off or on. By the time I did get the old one off, I had damaged the seals enough that I couldn't tell the correct order or orientation for them. I almost gave up--in fact I ordered a new dishwasher before I tried again and got the part installed. It's working great now, and solved the problem I had with the food chopper not turning. I canceled the order for the new dishwasher.
