Awfully expensive appliance light bulb

All I needed was a replacement light bulb, but I had to purchase an entire assembly: housing, electrical cord, cover AND bulb. The agent said I could not purchase only a bulb. Approx $80 for a $2 bulb!!! That said, it was easy to install (I did not use anything except the bulb). At least the bulb worked. I would recommend this part ONLY if your household was desperate to have light in the oven.

I took the Glass off the current oven light that was burned out and took the bulb from the new unit and it worked. I had to turn off the main breaker, unplug the oven, change the bulb, replug the oven and switch on the main breaker. They should have sold me the bulb only after I explained the issue.

Have to turn off the juice. I did not, and hit a bare wire, and shorted out the oven. Repair guy came out, and had to pull the stove out, take off the back panel, and install it from the back.
