Easy to install but must bend the plastic tabs

Overall the part is easy enough to install. Only took 20-30 minutes. On the new part, there are two plastic tabs that slide into the fridge sidewall. You have to bend them (flare them out) to get them to go into place. But you have to be careful not to break the plastic. Easy enough to do, but must be careful. I think this is a design flaw. Once the part was installed it completely solved my problem so well worth it.

Simple and difficult installation

First and most important the filter housing corrected the water flow issue. Now the fun parts. Removing the hold housing is just removing two screws and disconnecting two water lines. Screws were easy. The supply water line was a total pain. Depressing the line connector is much more difficult that expected. The output line was a breeze. Reconnection of water lines to new unit was very easy. Mounting new unit not so easy. There are two tabs that connect the housing to the refrigerator is mechanically difficult. The plastic trim cover is still another pain. Whirlpool design was not for home owner service. Best advice is watch videos first and during of how to install.
