Expensive, but easy DIY install.

It's more than a decorative overlay. It's a printed circuit board that controls the module, so it's absolutely necessary. The old one is not reusable, because it sacrifices most of the strong glue that secures the individual buttons when it's removed. Use great care when aligning, because the glue grabs instantaneously, and cannot be removed without curling it. I used an old trick from installing Formica counter tops: Place a sheet of waxed butcher paper on the module. Align the overlay, then slip the waxed paper out.
