Lint screen guide MEA490500001 is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part that fits some Kenmore and Kenmore Elite dryer models starting with 796805, 796810, 796811, 796812, 796813, 796814, 796815, 796817, 796821, 796905, 796910, 796911, 796912, 796913, 796914, 796915, 796917 and 796921.

Also fits some LG models starting with DLE26, DLE27, DLE30, DLE31, DLE49, DLEX2, DLEX3, DLEX4, DLG26, DLG27, DLG30, DLG31, DLGX2, DLGX3 and DLGX4.

Lint screen guide MEA49050001 attaches to the front bulkhead and supports the lint screen.

On some LG models made before July 2011, also replace lint screen cover MCK49049101 if the guide and cover weren't previously replaced.

Unplug the dryer before installing this part and wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Did not fit the dryer. Was recommended by sears direct that it should be replaced along with the vent screen.

The simple piece clips and slides into the other screen housing. Answered the question of were the screws went. A simple fix once you get the units front plate off.

Old part had a felt seal and a spring loaded flap which the new one did not. But the old felt interfered with installation.

They sent the part in a box but no instructions on what or how to install. This dryer has been tearing up our clothes for three years and to just find out that there's a repair but they still don't give you help to fix it is very disappointing.
