There has been a redesign of this part to keep it from snagging clothes. If you order this, be warned that your current filter may not fit. There are 4 parts in total. The housing, the guide, the cover, and the filter. The offered "often bought together" filter in not the correct item and will not fit. The correct filter is ADQ56656403 not ADQ56656401.

A close replacement, but not exactly the same

This replacement part is an aftermarket part and is almost the same as the original. Unfortunately, it need to have the edges of the frame (when the lint filter slides in) notched out for the lint filter to fit properly. Otherwise, it came quickly and installed fairly easily and should work. I may modify the frame where I mentioned earlier so the lint screen slides all the way down.

the lint screen in our dryer was broken, and this caused the action of the dryer to wrinkle clothes. we installed this new product and so far it is working well. time will tell if this new one continues to be good

Do not buy!!!!

I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Silly me relied on Sears to provide the right parts! This housing DOES NOT WORK with the dryer screen. It is missing the notches that the screen fit into. I discovered this after I spent 2 hours installing it. Had to remove it and reinstall the old one and just used the new screen. What a joke!!! Plus you can't reach anyone in customer service.

LG parts don't fit with Kenmore parts!

They just don't fit. They are the correct parts for the model, but LG didn't pay attention to detail.

A bit of a hassle but it worked out in the end.

The product initially did not fit - lint trap edges were too narrow to receive the lint trap. This part I think has a different fit depending on model but it is not readily apparent even when matching model number (seats is not using the exact same convention in their offering). This would've gotten a lower rating but customer service was very good about helping me find a part that did fit. The replacement part fits and works well. I don't have advice on what to do differently for future customers to ensure proper fit.
