Dispenser ice chute door 5007JA3006R opens to let ice through when dispensing into a glass or other container.

I ordered this item because the clips on the original ice chute door broke off. This took forever to receive because the item was on back order. I'm just glad they had it because my refrigerator is over 10 years old.

Ice/water dispenser

We ordered the part for our ice and water dispenser and it arrived in 2 to 3 days. Had seen a great youtube video on installing the part. We were able to follow the directions and had the part installed in 45 minutes. That included pulling the refrigerator out from the cabinet and cleaning out the dust behind. Was able then to cancel the repair appointment. Works great now.

Fairly easy to install

The door was easy to install. Just remember to hook the plastic clip on to the solenoid. The return spring I purchased was useless, it would not hold it's shape and kept on unwinding. The old one was of much better quality and was reused. Also, Sears does not except returns on the spring. I guess $4 plus dollars down the drain.
