20 minuntes work saved buying a new dryer
Exactly the same mounting points and terminals as the old timer. Pulled the power plug free at the wall to kill the power. Unscrewed the old timer. Took my time and detached and reattached the connectors one at a time to the new terminals. Reinstalled the new timer. Put the knob back on and plugged the dryer back into power. Working Kenmore dryer again. Opened the old (10+ years) timer and found one of the contact buttons had come loose. That was why it worked intermittently.
