Last Fourth of July we had a flooding rain. The basement had four feet of muddy water come up the two floor drains. The freezer full of frozen goods was floating like a boat. Once the electric main breaker was turned off we were able to recover some of the frozen food. It took a long time to clean up and see if the freezer was a total loss. Once pressure washed with the maintenance cover removed and dried with a high pressure air from a hose run from the garage's compressor. The freezer wouldn't get cold, so I ordered a new Electronic Control board from Sears Direct. The replacement board came in just a few days and was installed in about fifteen minutes. Once plugged in the freezer's compressor came on and the copper tubing started to feel cold. Left run overnight the freezer was ready to store frozen food again. The one hundred plus cost of the new control board was less expensive than replacing the freezer which is the largest Sears chest freezer sold at the time. I have bookmarked the website where I found Sears Parts Direct since I have other Sears products. Thank you for being there when your service was needed.
