Compressor start relay 297237702 is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part that fits some refrigerators and freezers in these series: Kenmore 253; Frigidaire AFFU, FFFC, FFFH, FFU, FGCH, FGFU, FPFU, FRS, FSC GLFU, GLHS, GS26, KCCF, LFFH, LFFU and PLHS; Electrolux E32, EI32 and E23; and White-Westinghouse WRS.

Compressor start relay 297237702 attaches to the compressor and helps start the compressor motor.

Replaces original refrigerator and freezer compressor start relay part numbers 241527803, 241527801 and 5304492394.

Long delivery time, easy installation

Part was on back order for 10 days. Plenty of time to research installation on UTube. When parts arrived installed in freezer. Everything back to normal. 20 minute installation. Outrageous price to have Sears service do the installation.

Part States it is a Substitution-NOT

The part clearly stated that it was a substitution for an older part number. Unfortunately this is NOT the case. It was not where near the style of the old part. A week later and we are still trying to repair our freezer. We have had to make adjustments to this part and order a second part which has not arrived yet. So still not sure if this will fix the problem.

The Capacitor did not fit correctly as the connection tabs were too wide, had to trim them, the plug did not fit and had to install pig tails. It did correct the problem with the compressor not starting properly..
