Put cupcakes in oven & in less then 2 min. they were burnt. In looking for what the code meant, I quote "Something wrong with temp." lol Ya think?? Looking into it further it said we needed the oven Control Board. So it got ordered. My oven now works. Hubby & son are the ones that put it in, didn't hear any cussing so it couldn't have been to bad. Again, it works.

Easy to install...like new again!!!

***CUT OFF THE POWER BREAKER TO THE STOVE*** Six screws to remove the back panel...four screws to remove the control board. I carefully slid a thin knife blade under the edge of the panel cover to remove it from the old board. There was still sufficient adhesive on the panel cover to secure it to the new board. Two plugs and five slip on wires. Four screws back on board...six screws back on rear panel...and you are good as new. You even get the chance to clean behind the stove while it's pulled out from the wall...LOL!!! Slide the stove back in place, turn your power breaker back on, set the clock, and you are ready to bake once again.

Convenient source for repair parts. The range is about 10 yrs old and Sears has always provided excellent parts manuals with most of their products. Ordered part, it came promptly, it fit, it worked.

Should have been easy; just remove some screws!

The face plate is glued to the controller plastic carrier frame so either you need to also order one of those or swap the new circuit boards into the old carrier which I was able to do w/o breaking anything. Could have been a disaster however.
