Bad advice

I ordered this part based on the recommendation of Vernon. It was the wrong part. It did not solve my problem. The problem was with the water inlet, not the thermostat. Installing this part was extremely tricky, not what I had been led to expect. The one-page instructions included was virtually useless.

Refrigerator ice maker thermostat part # 627985

The thermostat was easy to install but it does not come with a small tube of recommended sealant to apply between the contact surfaces of the thermostat face and ice tray. The thermostat is slightly spring loaded to make positive contact. I installed the new one without the sealant and my ice maker works fine.
