Adjusting your Sears bicycle's brakes

Check the brake pads and replace the brake pads if they're worn or damaged. Ajust the position of the brake pads on the caliper if the brake pads aren't hitting the middle of the wheel rim when you apply the brekes. Adjust brake cable tension if needed so the brake pads make firm contact with the wheel rim. Adjust the brake caliper if needed so brake pads evenly hit the wheel rim.
