Installation took awhile.
When it finally arrived installation was pretty much straight forward if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. I'd say this and the lower gear are probably the hardest to reach parts on the tractor. I had a chain fall hoist which helped greatly as most of the work is underneath and this rod must come out from the bottom. I removed the steering wheel, battery, battery box/shelf, lower gear (which I replaced also), drivebelt pully, and of course the mower deck. I found it was easier to work on with the hood off. I'd advise replacing the $9 plastic bushings on the lower gear if your doing both as they're probably ground up. They have to come out anyway. I'm 70 and arthritic so it took me about three hours.
