Belt was fine. Mower not so much.
The belt worked fine but didn't solve my problem of the mower having little ability to move. There's not much power. Wasn't the drive belt. The mower has to be replaced. Wasted $100.

Keeper bolt on transmission'pain in the wazoo!
To put the ground (engine to transmission) drive belt was a pain. On my older model 917 the pulley on the transmission has a keeper bolt than barely allows room. No utube showing how. Once I figured it out was able to get it done. Do not! Remove this bolt completely, loosen it enough to remove the belt. Had to remove a lot of parts to get the bolt back in place. The belt I bought was excellent.

returning v belt
had trouble so i ask my daughter to order a v belt for me in the mean time the one i ordered went through now i have 2 v belts. need to return one.

Wrong size sent
I am certain I ordered the part by accessing via the model number. It was way too short so it added time and cost for my tech to find a belt that worked. I need to return it but hope I don't lose points
