The belt worked fine but didn't solve my problem of the mower having little ability to move. There's not much power. Wasn't the drive belt. The mower has to be replaced. Wasted $100.

Keeper bolt on transmission'pain in the wazoo!

To put the ground (engine to transmission) drive belt was a pain. On my older model 917 the pulley on the transmission has a keeper bolt than barely allows room. No utube showing how. Once I figured it out was able to get it done. Do not! Remove this bolt completely, loosen it enough to remove the belt. Had to remove a lot of parts to get the bolt back in place. The belt I bought was excellent.

Great surprise, got the parts quicker than I thought I would. OEM Craftsman belts, change both deck and drive in about an hour. Very easy (except for those darn deck clips). The mower now operates like new.
