You gave me an outlandish price but I was able to direct you to the correct part and price eventually. You never sent me the installation instructions as promised.

Lawn tractor transmission
Five bolts and two cotter pins. How much easier can you get than that? They should have included a notice that the shift was factory tightened. The delivery service was great.

Transaxel lawn tractor
It was so much fun I installed it 3 times! The first time I just mounted it to the tractor and had to drop it again to put the connection for manual pushing, the second time I had to drop it so I could put the arm for forward and reverse because I couldn't put the cotter pin in place under the fan blades. After that, I spent two days trying to figure out why the forward and reverse control would not move. After I talked with Darrick in support chat (who tried his very best to help, but had no access to instructions or there are none in existence), I came out to the garage and loosened the bolt on the transaxel where forward reverse connects and it solved the problem. I thought, the very first moment when I discovered forward and reverse would not move about adjusting that bolt but talked myself out of it because I didn't think that it would come delivered out of adjustment. So I just kept trying to figure out what I had done wrong. With that being said, I learned a lot and could do it again in an hour if I ever have to do it again. Let's hope not!
