It came as one piece and fit right on. (The original was badly bent). I was surprised that the old bag went on, but it did. It fit good on Craftsman model: 917.376070. Part # 532189680.

My mower was a gift from a friend who never had a bag. He left the cuttings on the lawn. So if you aren't buying just a replacement bag but are going to start using a bag for the first time, you will also need to buy the frame for the bag to hold the bag to the mower
