Ice maker purchase
Here's the deal, this ice maker is for a Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator. Called some local appliance repair stores for ice maker replacement for this refrigerator and guess what? They would not work on it, saying it was an LG refrigerator, even though its' a Sears Kenmore Elite on the exterior. Contacted LG with limited success, and Sears Kenmore (no help) to get service in my area (Western Slope of Colorado). I figured I would buy the part from Sears PartsDirect and see if I could get someone to work on it if I had the part. Ice maker came quickly in an LG box, nobody would work on it, and the icemaker was pricey ($200+). So now with no options for repair by someone qualified. I look into repairing it myself. Found an extremely helpful video on Youtube to install a new icemaker in an LG refrigerator with the lower drawer freezer compartment. I successfully replaced the icemaker myself. No thanks to LG, Sears, or my local appliance repair shops.

I order this item based on how it look since i was not able to find a part # on my original part. Thanks to the details images available i was able to adetified. came in 4 days after i placed my order my icemaker is onces again working.

Easy to Install
Simple install. Takes more time to remove the door and trays than to install the ice maker. There are also some YouTube videos out there to help with installation
