You do not need but a very few tools

As it were, I needed a celanoide as well. But the whole thing was a easy fix. The tractor is old, but I've rebuilt about everything on it, which is still a lot less money than buying a new tractor.

It took about 20 minutes to install because I had to apply heat with a hand held torch to the bolts securing the old starter to the engine block. After removing the old starter, the new one slipped right on. Good for another 10,000 miles.
