Replacing Dryer Roller shaft
It was easy to install. Took me about 45 including clean up. Watch a You Installation video. There are plenty out there. Sears Parts direct is the best route if you want OEM Parts at the best price. Delivery is fast also. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Not good
Shaft had a rough edge on it and when I put the roller on it scratch the inside of the roller causing it to not turn smoothly. Did my best with it and put it back together because I didn't need to have the dryer down for another week or 2. Has made noise since and now a few weeks later I'm going to have to order another roller and shaft and do the job again.

Drum Support Shaft
There are 2 support shaft in my dryer I Had to replace the lower one because it was worn out after 20 years of use. It was making a squealing noise I knew I had to replace the roller bearing but when I installed the new roller bearing it was too lose. Removing the lower support shaft was easy locate the nut that is behind the dryer and loosen. For more details go online and look for videos.

Perfect part
This repair takes the dryer down to its basic parts. Once it's opended up changing the part is very straight forward . Best to wear good work gloves if you don't want any cuts. The inside of the dryer has many sharp edges.

First time I fixed a dryer!!
I am a 60 year old woman who loves to learn how to do things for myself between ordering manufacturers parts and you tube videos I DID IT!! It wasn't hard at all. I replaced both shafts, the wheels and the door switch. My husband was blown away that I took care of it without him or a repairman. My ratings are from a novice so if you have any experience you are miles ahead of me.

Easy to install with two people.
It's easier with two people. You can do it alone with a vise grip to hold the shaft from turning while tightening the nut on the back side.
