It was easy to take out and put back in but I scraped my hands and arms in the process. Remember to take all the screws out. Didn't get the one by the push button until I realized it was part of assembly.

Part had a piece broken off. We installed it anyway and it works so we are not going to bother exchanging it. Packaging of the product could be improved. There was a random duct tape wrapped in the box as well.

The lock assembly came as promised. The first delivery was broken in shipping but Sears parts replaced it immediately. Thanks to the parts team for taking care of this issue quickly. A fair amount of labor to disassemble the washer and reassemble. However it was well worth the time. I was able to install the new lock assembly which also afforded me the opportunity to clean up the washing machine. There is another issue but that has nothing to do with this part or it's function.
