Do not purchase from Sears PartsDirect
I was sent the wrong part and refunded for approximately 1/2 of what I paid. I can see why Sears has gone downhill. Bad service, incompetent parts employee and inability to know how to make a refund. This was the first and last time I will purchase from Sears PartsDirect.

Washed something that had a funky smell.
I washed something that had some kind of mothball chemicals on it. Chemicals caused a seriously funky smell from washer, especially after running a wash. Smell would not go away no matter what we tried. Finally took washer apart and found this foam rubber tub ring seal was what was holding the smell, so had to replace it. To take washer apart pull off plastic covers on both sides of the washer control panel, take out screws that hold control panel to washer body, flip control panel up a little and undo the plug for wiring harness from panel to body, then gently flip control panel up and over back cover out of way. Use large flat head screwdriver to pop out big copper colored fasteners that hold back of washer to washer body. Lift body from back off the washer and pull it away from washer. All around the top of plastic tub, pop the plastic fasteners holding plastic tub cover to plastic tub. Turn tub cover over to remove and replace tub ring seal. Be sure hose running from control panel down to connector on washer has not pulled loose on either end. To re-assemble washer push washer body under front of washer then the rest of body sits on top of washer floor frame rails, push back up against washer body and use large flat head screwdriver to replace large copper colored fasteners, Flip control panel back down to washer body, plug wiring harness back in, and screw control panel back to washer body. Replace plastic covers on sides of control panel.
