Easiest Parts Swap Ever
Simple parts swap... Took the old Ice Compartment out and slid the new part into place. Was a bit disappointed that LG didn't redesign the cheap plastic components with more stainless steel parts... But it is what it is....

Unreasonable cost for an item with same defect
Item's cost was almost one third of the cost of fridge. It has the same design defect that caused the original to fail. The auger has a round shaft that fits in a rectangular hole to turn the drum so it will eventually start slipping again and fail. Never buy an LG product. Your questions below are irrelevant to the satisfaction for this product.

Exact Replacement
The ice container is an exact replacement for the original equipment container that came with the refrigerator, so it fit in easily and has worked well since installed. The only issue was the time it took to receive the product. The order was place on 8-18 and did not ship until 9-22
