The LG Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly (OEM part number 5989JA1005H) is designed to fit select LG LSC279-series refrigerators, providing efficient ice production capabilities. This assembly includes an ice mold and a control device, capable of producing approximately 140 to 150 ice cubes per day under optimal conditions.
If you notice smaller ice cubes, consider replacing your refrigerator's water filter. Use the Sears PartsDirect water filter finder to identify the correct filter for your appliance.
For best performance, ensure your refrigerator is level and that airflow to the ice maker is not obstructed. Regularly inspect and maintain your ice maker to prevent issues like ice jams or decreased ice production.
Only one screw in the upper left front corner to remove . Slide old ice maker toward yourself to get it off the two attached screws. Then at the left back unplug old ice maker to remove. Repeat steps to install. New ice maker does not come with directions or new screw , I watched a YouTube video prior to installing.

Super easy to replace. Ours never worked right from day one of being new so I decided to replace it. Never did one before and all it was is one screw and one wire plug and that was it, done in 3 min. Now we finally have ice all the time.
