Solved my problem

The tracks would often not start when engaged or would stall as they rolled along. Turned out one side of this wheel had been worn down. The repair was fairly straightforward and simple even without the manual. I unbolted the bearings on the end of the axle was able to extract the assembly. There was some trick to the reassembly trying to get the piece re-engaged with the fork without losing a couple washers. Still, just about 30 minutes for the process.

about a 2 + hour DIY project - gathering tools , coffee break, & idle chit-chat, - wear gloves & mask when cleaning rodents nest out of assembly area. Preserve back with an elect hoist up to working height; at 73 yo back doesn't like lifting or being bent over!
