Easy Installation
This unit was to replace the old timer on the Kenmore washing machine which was 25 years old. The old timer was getting stuck (contacts were failing) and required banging on the unit to get the contacts to mate. The new timer was easy to install, and took about 1/2 hour. So far it works like new. There was a lead time to get it shipped of about 5 months because Sears Parts Direct was out of stock, and I imagine that the manufacturer had to get enough orders to build and ship.

Part fit really nice. Washer works great now!
Pretty quick install, just pay attention to what things look like before you start the disassembly.

Older kenmore washer timer replacement
Exact part replacement - works well. Need to remove center control knob by turning it left to unscrew it, then 2 screws holding timer assembly.

Easy to install ... but it didn't work.
With original timer: It fills but does nothing after (no agitation) except the timer advances. It eventually empties, spins etc. Lid switch OK. Motor runs fine (spin, empties). No 'burnt' motor connector. Checked timer switches. Could not get continuity across switch 16 (agitation) by manually advancing timer. "New" timer also has no continuity across switch 16.
