The original switch went bad, had to change it.
this is the third time that I have changed the switches. It is an engineering malfunction. When cooking with the switch set on four or five it sometimes goes full hot. Can't be away from the stove for a minute. It is too dangerous. The small burners have never done it, but both of the large ones have several times.

Don't forget the broom
Gather the tools: 1/4 inch nut driver , Phillips screwdriver , broom & dustpan . Pull out , unplug and be amazed by everything underneath your stove .

The part that was sent was different from the original. There weren't any instructions showing what wire went to what contact.

Replacement part different appearances
The only issue I had was it should come with a basic wiring instruction sheet. This part replaced a 20 something year old part so they looked nothing alike.
