Runaway temperature (oven temperature is over 600 degrees and increasing)

Check/Repair

Disconnect power from the range. Check the resistance of the oven temperature sensor using a multimeter. You should measure about 1,100 ohms resistance through the sensor at room temperature. If not, replace the sensor. If the oven overheats and the oven temperature sensor is okay, replace the oven control board because a stuck relay on the control board is causing the oven to overheat.
