Top replacement parts for your Jade gas range

  • Oven temperature sensor probe. The oven temperature sensor probe detects the actual temperature in the oven cavity. Replace it if it's not detecting the temperature properly, in which case the oven doesn't maintain the temperature you set. A complete failure, in which the sensor probe doesn't detect any temperature at all, usually triggers an error code on the electronic oven control board.
  • Electronic oven control board. The electronic oven control (EOC) board governs the timing and execution of oven functions such as baking and broiling. It's usually in the control console and often has a digital clock on the front of its housing. Replace the electronic control board if it doesn't light up when it's supplied with electrical power, if it doesn't operate properly or doesn't properly send current to the oven igniter.
  • Surface burner spark igniter switch. The igniter switch is an electrical switch on the stem of the gas surface burner control valve. This switch completes a circuit to the surface burner spark module, causing the burner igniters to spark when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the burner igniter switch if the burners don't spark when you turn the burner control knob to the Lite position or if igniters spark constantly even when the burner knobs are in the Off position.

Installing a new electronic oven control board in your Jade gas range

  • Pull the range out of the cabinet and unplug the power cord. Use a helper if necessary. Shut off the gas supply.
  • Remove the screws from the control panel back shield and pull it off the range.
  • Disconnect all the wires from the oven control board. Remove the mounting screws and pull the oven control board out of the control panel.
  • Position the electronic oven control board and reinstall the mounting screws. Carefully connect all the wires to the new oven control board.
  • Place the control panel back shield on the back of the control console and secure the back shield with the mounting screws.
  • Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet. Open the gas supply shut-off valve. Carefully slide the range back into the cabinet, ensuring that the rear leveling foot properly engages with the anti-tip bracket so the range doesn’t fall forward when you open the oven door and pull out a loaded oven rack. Use a helper if necessary.
