White-Westinghouse Electric wall ovens

Official White-Westinghouse electric wall oven parts

White-Westinghouse electric wall ovens deliver accurate heat for even cooking, and these appliances are an essential part of many home kitchens. Common problems that may arise when using your White-Westinghouse electric wall oven include uneven heating that causes unwanted hot spots, an oven door that won't unlock and the oven not heating at all. When any of these failures occur, find the repair parts you need to fix your White-Westinghouse electric wall oven at Sears PartsDirect.

Replacing oven door hinges in your White-Westinghouse electric wall oven

  • Fully open the oven door. Use a slot screwdriver to pry down the locking tabs to the unlocked position on both sides of the door. Raise the door to the broil stop position, which is about 1/4 open. Grip both sides of the oven door and then lift up and out to remove the door.
  • Carefully place the oven door face down on a padded surface, such as a towel-covered table. Using the type of screwdriver that fits the screws, remove the screws that secure the door handle to the top of the oven door. Remove the handle.
  • Remove the screws at the bottom of the oven door. Lift the inner door panel assembly off the outer door panel and set it on the padded surface.
  • Remove the 2 screws on the inner oven door panel that secure each door hinge in place. Pull the hinges up and out of the inner door panel.
  • Position the new door hinges in place in the inner door panel assembly. Insert the screws in the new door hinges and tighten the screws firmly.
  • Reassemble the door and reinstall the door on the oven.

Adjusting the oven temperature calibration on your White-Westinghouse electric wall oven

Over time, the temperature setting on your oven can drift away from the factory setting. Then you'll find that your oven consistently bakes or roasts food faster or slower than the time specified in the recipe. Fortunately, you can recalibrate your oven to get it closer to the original setting.

Press the BAKE button just until the temperature displays the current offset setting—usually 0 or 00, unless you recalibrated the oven previously. Use the arrow keys to increase or decrease the offset to calibrate the oven to detect the proper temperature. Press the BAKE button to save the calibration setting.
