Delta Power sanders

Official Delta power sander parts

Delta power sanders have the powerful motors and rugged components that you need to complete any sanding project. Although Delta power sanders rarely break down, you can never tell when parts will wear out or a failure will eventually occur. When your Delta power sander isn't working as it should, find the replacement parts you need to fix the sander at Sears PartsDirect.

Electrical safety precautions to follow when using your Delta power sander

  • The power sander power cord plug must match the receptacle on the electrical wall outlet. Never modify the power sander power cord plug in any manner. Don't use an adapter plug with an earth grounded power sander.
  • Don't expose the power sander to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the power sander will increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Check the condition of the power cord before using the power sander. Repair damaged wires in the power cord or replace the power cord if it's damaged before using the power sander.
  • When operating the power sander outdoors, use an extension cord rated for outdoor use to prevent the chance of electrical shock.
  • If operating the power sander in a damp location or around a water source, use a GCFI protected power supply.

How to install a sanding disc on your Delta power sander

  • Be sure that the power sander is unplugged and that it's cool to the touch.
  • Push the hub of the disc nut through the center of the sanding disc.
  • Position the backing disc behind the sanding disc and push the disc nut through the backing disc.
  • Push the assembled discs on the spindle and thread the disc nut onto the disc nut hub.
  • Tighten the disc nut completely down on the spindle.
  • Engage the locking pin to lock the spindle in place.
