Check the thermostat

A wall oven's thermostat is a key element in controlling the internal temperature of the oven. If the burner isn't coming on when you start the oven or it isn't maintaining the temperature you need, you may need a new thermostat. The thermostat could also be the cause of the problem If you're seeing problems with the oven not turning off as it should.

Inspect the temperature sensor probe

Another wall oven repair need arises when the temperature sensor probe stops working. This part detects the actual temperature inside the oven, so its failure can also mean that the oven doesn't heat or cool correctly. If you're experiencing these problems and you see an error code on the wall oven control board, it may indicate a problem with the temperature sensor probe.

Replace the bake or broil elements.

In an electric wall oven, the bake and broil elements are the tubes that wrap around the top or bottom of the oven and glow hot when in use. If these crucial wall oven parts become damaged or inoperative, you can't bake or broil. Check them for heat, and replace them if needed.

Sears PartsDirect carries all the replacement parts you need to keep your KitchenAid wall oven baking and broiling beautifully.
