Kenmore Faucet water filters

Official Kenmore faucet water filter parts

Sears PartsDirect has the replacement parts you need to keep your Kenmore faucet water filter working perfectly. Kenmore faucet water filters trap impurities from the water supply so you can have the peace of mind that the water coming from your faucet is safe. When your Kenmore faucet water filter stops working as it should, find the repair parts you need at Sears PartsDirect.

Common Kenmore faucet water filter replacement parts

  • Water inlet filter. The water inlet filter traps large particles from entering the water treatment equipment to prevent damage and clogs.
  • Inlet water seal. The inlet water seal keeps water from leaking through the water inlet connection on the water treatment equipment.
  • Tank. The tank holds the water during the treatment process in the water treatment equipment.
  • Water inlet cut-off valve. The water inlet cut-off valve shuts off the water supply going to the water treatment equipment.

Sanitizing your Kenmore faucet water filter system upon installation

  • Be sure that the water supply cut-off valve for the filter is shut off.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before beginning the sanitation process.
  • Remove all filters from the system before sanitizing the equipment.
  • Remove the filter housing cap and fill the filter housing with water to about 1-inch from the top. Add 1-oz. of liquid chlorine bleach.
  • Replace the filter housing cap.
  • Slowly open the water supply cut-off valve and then open the faucet to flush water through the filter. You should smell the bleach and water solution coming out of the faucet. Once you smell the bleach, shut off the faucet and allow the bleach and water solution to soak for 20 minutes inside the filter housing.
  • After 20 minutes, open the faucet and flush water through the filter until the bleach smell is gone.
