This part was for a 40 year old Sears Freezer.
Part was back ordered and arrived two weeks later. Not as easy to install as diy said but was finally able to get installed. Now freezer good as new. Saved about 500 dollars.

Had to have it installed
Turned out I really did not need a gasket. A flange at the bottom of the door on the hinge side lost a screw resulting on the door not sealing properly at the top. The door flange was repairid, the new gasket was installed, and the door was realigned.

Did not work
I installed the new gasket but the freezer still builds up ice. I think the gasket was not made exactly right. I had to stretch it out just to get it installed. Consequently, I think it still leaks air and causes ice.
