Direct inlet valve replacement for older Kenmore dishwasher

Sears Parts Direct website helped me find the proper inlet valve to replace the one that gave out in my dishwasher. Repair guy couldn't find the dishwasher model number, took the broken valve as well as an adapter for the intake line, called two days later and said the part is no longer available and I would need a new dishwasher. I got the dishwasher model number, the appropriate part number myself, ordered it the same day. Replaced it myself after a trip to buy a new adapter that he stole. And the dishwasher works great. Didn't need a new dishwasher, just need a new appliance repairman.

Managed without pulling dishwasher from cabinetry.

Part was easy to install. I used the video provided by Sears and did not need to remove the dishwasher from the cabinetry. Only minor awkward handling. One discrepancy I found in the video was it showed the water supply tube already removed and he said to remove it first. This was impossible as the hose was not long enough to spin it around to be removed. This could have been done by removing both the hose and the additional corner type coupling attached. However I was able (with a little muscle) to remove it after unplugging the black hose and the wire because I could spin the part off of the hose.
