Replacing the belt with the proper one was easy as loosening one bolt that holds the belt on the pulley, put on the new one and tighten back up. 5 minutes at most. Incidentally, getting the right belt was a lesson learned. I thought all belts were the same and had put on a rubber v belt from the local hardware store. I burned it out in 20 minutes. The one I just put on is the proper belt and size, worked like a charm as I edged my lawn and my three neighbors lawns as well.
