I was just trying to replace a battery charger, and the sales person was confident it was the right one. It wasn't.

I inherited some old 19.2V Craftsman tools, along with a Craftsman charger and a DieHard (third party) Li-ion battery. I couldn't get the tools to work so I bought this charger. The problem ultimately ended up being that my tools can only use the old NiMH batteries, not Li-ion, but once I bought some new third party NiMH batteries they charged just fine in both this charger and the charger I started with and the tools work again, so I'm happy. It was nice to find this option for an OEM charger and the purchase and delivery were both quick and easy.

Compatibility

It's a really nice charger, but my battery doesn't fit. The voltage range is correct, but the socket is wrong. I'm hoping Sears will take it back.

There was no installation.

The original charger died so had to find a new one. Site said this unit would replace the original one I had so I thought I'd try it. All I had to do was plug it in and recharge my batteries. So far, so good.

Wrong charger

I ordered a battery charger to charge my lithium ion batteries. The item displayed on the web page said "variety of battery types", so I assumed mine would be covered. When the box arrived, the box was labeled "NiCd battery charger". Not even close. Completely unusable for me.

Battery Charger

there was no repair...ordered battery charger and gave part number for battery but received a charger that my battery wont fit in...imagine that...drill and batteries are 2 years old and charger is discontinued...stuck with drill that I can't use...no wonder sears store out of business...and where is my $$ for the return of the wrong part? Refund my shipping and handling also!!!!
