The part I received was not identical to the part I replaced which made me worry the wrong part had been sent. My washer is a few years old so I suspected modifications had happened. (The part I received was black and smaller than the part I removed.) It took me about 15 minutes to install the part and I ran two loads of laundry without getting the F20 error. Hurray!

Flowmeter easy fix

My 16 year old Kenmore washer was reporting F/H and diagnostics indicated problem was either flowmeter or solenoids. I ruled out a solenoid issue since I could see water was entering the tub. 3 screws to remove the top, 2 clamps to remove on the flowmeter. Easy quick fix. I found a video on line that helps. Screws are a torque T20 size, but you can use a hex wrench instead.

Easy Fix

If your washer reacts normally until the rinse cycle, it is usually a faulty flow meter. Cleaned the drain, water inlets, and drain hose. Washer still showed the FH error as the rinse cycle started, changed the flow meter and problem was solved. Easy fix - I'm a 73 year old woman. U Tube is the greatest!
