not excessively difficult, but it would have been better if: 1) I had looked at the schematic diagram 2) my igniter had not came broken 3) the valve was EXACTLY like the old one (didn't mount exactly the same)

I would also replace the igniter. I replaced both parts: the valve and igniter.

3 out of 5 to install
hardest part is pulling the stove out. I did the thermostat and ignighter at the same time as it was part of the testing to see what was wrong.
