Water Softener Electronic Control Board (replaces 7264906, 7300037) 7335155

Easy to install but no support for problems

Replace a control panel on a model WHES30 water softener. After installing the control board it needs programmed. According to instructions provided with my order it says to press and hold the Program button till 'Turbine' shows then the model code will flash. Turbine never showed only 'Service' and model LE33 showed and could not be changed by using the up or down buttons. When pressing those buttons only a 505 or S0S come up on the display. Idid run a regen to see how the softener responded and it completed it ok. All I really need is for someone to tell me that code L33 will work with my WHES30 softener instead of code L30 or there is a programming issue or a part issue. The people a your help center keep handing me off to other people who send me back to to the customer service.

The controller board was very easy to install and program using the instructions The controller board was very easy to install and program using the instructions provided. Although the following description of my experience is a little lengthy, the whole process took less than 15 minutes. First, I unplugged the water softener AC adapter from the wall power socket. Then I lifted the Top Cover & Faceplate Assembly to expose the controller board. I detached the multi-pin cable connector from the old board, and disconnected the two wire connector from its mate on the main unit. I left the two right-angle slip-on power connectors attached to the terminals on the board until they were more accessible. I then lifted the old board off its mounting stand-offs. A little tricky, as it was necessary to press against the little plastic keepers and lift each corner gently to clear the stand-offs. After the old board was removed I disconnected the two right-angle slip-on power connectors from the terminals using a pair of needle nose pliers. Before installing the new board, I removed the film from the LCD display and pressed the two right-angle power connectors onto the power terminals. While pressing the power connectors onto the terminals I supported the back side of the board under the terminals with my finger to avoid flexing the board. Then I mounted the new board on the stand-offs. A little trick I learned was that one side of the board (the shorter side) can be slipped under the plastic keepers and onto the standoff-offs with very little force applied. Then the other side is more easily mounted on the stand-offs by just having to deal with the other two plastic keepers to push aside to get the board down on the stand-offs. I then pressed the multi-pin cable connector on the new board, and reconnected the two wire connector to its mate on the main unit. I reinstalled the Top Cover & Faceplate Assembly on the water softener and plugged in the AC adapter to the wall power socket. I followed the programming instructions that came with the controller board. The instructions were easy for me to follow and the water softener came back to life in a jiffy.
