Would have been simple.
The actual bolt I needed had been discontinued. The person helping me did the best he could considering. The $3 bolt I ordered cost me $10 for shipping, so for $13 I have a bolt that is 100% useless. It is absolutely ridiculous to discontinue such a basic part. At this point I regret investing in my craftsman circular saw. Apparently when something breaks you should just throw it away and by a new one.
