Dryer now works fine. Easy but you need to access from back.

Worked as expected
Was very easy to install. There is a small clip on the bottom [that holds the part in] that was a little challenging to get the old part to release [just based on the location and angle of it; just as an FYI]... it took longer to get the old one out than it did to pop the new one in...

works fine
Too bad the original timer only lasted 3 years. This is exactly the same part and I hope it lasts longer. Getting the old one out was very difficult because it is attached with spring clips at top and bottom instead of screws. Because of the angle of the top control panel on the dryer, I found it impossible too get a proper angle grip on the bottom spring clip to release it. One video showed someone actually prying off the entire top control panel of the machine. Ours would not release (massive spring clips again), and the attempt started to scratch the paint on the machine. Finally got someone with stronger hands and longer fingers to get that bottom spring clip on the timer released. After that it was easy enough to finish up. Watch all the Utube videos you can find, including other brands of dryer, to find one that has the same attachment mechanism as yours. don't worry about mixing up the wiring harnesses. A quick look at your new part will show you they can only go one way. the dryer now works like it should, hope it continues to work longer than the original. Had to wait 4 months for delivery.

Ok price for item made in Mexico. Fingers Crossed!
No brainer to install. Saved money doing the fix myself. Did watch you tube on how to take apart the dryer panel as not to break anything.

Hardest part was moving the dryer out and back
Remove the cover, which is secured with five 1/4" (or 9/16", I forget which) hex screws. Remove screws to release the timer from the panel. Reach around to the front of the panel and remove the selector knob (pull the dial straight off, perpendicular to the panel). Remove the timer assembly, and swap the wiring plugs from the old timer over to the new timer. Repeat the steps in reverse order to re-install. Set the dryer to a short air dry cycle to test if it is functioning properly. Ta-daaa!
