The part itself was easy to install. I needed to look beyond the Sears videos, however, as they addressed how to move the top console of more recent models. My machine is almost 17 years old, and I found a video that addressed to to release the console of older models with a putty knife - then it was a snap!

The part snaps right out then back in. Just be sure to have lid open as this switch will be "hooked" onto the actuator with the lid closed.

The part was an exact match to what it was replacing and it was really easy to install. The only problem was to find the replacement connector - could not find one anywhere. I was able to find some individual connectors and they fit perfectly.
