Kenmore Refrigerator Door Gasket

due to wear, the door rubber gasket had torn apart and wasn't making full contact to the refrigerator body. I searched for almost two years and couldn't find the right gasket due to the refrigerator being discontinued. Other sources told me I had to buy the entire door. Sears Direct didn't have it at first, but I didn't give up as Sears then had them. The gasket arrived perfect. No twists or bends. The replacement took no more than two minutes. . Thank you

Because of the cost of this part, I decided I would replace it myself (rather than call the appliance repair folks). I watched a couple of YouTube videos for my type of refrigerator. The videos showed how to remove the old gasket and install the new one. It was a simple process. The gasket arrived in excellent condition and was not folded in a box, so I was able to install it as soon as I received it without having to lay it flat for a few days.

The gasket arrived in a sort a of a cardboard frame that kept the shape of the gasket. I had watched a couple of youtube videos of other gasket replacements (couldn't find this exact model) and it seem kind of easy. This door gasket was MUCH easier that any of those. The part was exactly what the original was and I was able to install in in about 10 minutes. You can do it!
