Special details: Filter 17912 fits most Craftsman 5-gallon and larger shop vacuums made after 1988 with models prefixed by 113 or 125 and whose original filter had a red stripe. Also fits some Cleva shop vacuum models starting with VBVA, VJC, VJF, VJH and VQ8.
This HEPA filter (part number 17912 is for shop vacuums.
HEPA filter 17912 traps the dust and debris from the exhaust air. The filter fits threaded filter cage studs, and non-threaded filter cage studs when using the included cage nut. The filter now includes an integrated filter plate, so the original plate is no longer needed.

Not the correct part
Did not fit a upright bag less vacuum. I ordered the filter for that kind of vacuum NOT a shop vacuum

Wrong part
I explained that the filter was a press fit the salesperson guaranteed me that this filter would work. I am very disappointed that I was not listened to and my description was not taken seriously. They asked for a model number I explained all I could find was a serial number. I told them it was a very old sears/craftsman model. I tried to upload a picture of the base where the filter goes to this email but it won't accept it. What are you going to do to remedy my situation.

Not a direct replacement for factory original.
I had to cut out part of the plastic end to make this fit my older model Vacuum. This is not suitable for wet pickup either.
