This thermocouple (part number H06E-036) is for water heaters.
Thermocouple H06E-036 monitors the pilot light to ensure it's lit and closes the gas valve if it detects a loss of flame.
Turn the gas supply off to the water heater before installing this part.

A perfect fit.
I had problems with the wall heater pilot light staying on. My focus was the thermocouple, so I replaced it. Only two screws to remove it, very easy. Now my pilot light is in good operation order.

iNSTALLATION
The installation was easy. There are several videos on Youtube that show how to do it. The only issue was that the part listed for my model was about 12" too long. so there's a bundle of extra tubing coiled up outside the tank.
